Education programs are a vital part of many associations. Here are some examples of data to look at and questions to ask for both in-person and digital education offerings:

In-Person Education:

  1. Attendance Patterns:

    • What is the average attendance rate for our in-person education events?

    • Are there demographic trends among attendees (e.g., age, profession)?

    • Is there a geographic concentration of attendees?

  2. Course Evaluations:

    • How do participants rate the quality and relevance of our courses?

    • What specific aspects of the courses receive positive feedback?

    • What improvements or changes are suggested by participants?

  3. Participant Profiles:

    • What are the common job titles of course participants?

    • Which industries do they primarily represent?

    • How many years of experience do they typically have?

  4. Engagement Metrics:

    • How engaged are participants during the sessions?

    • Are networking opportunities effectively utilized?

    • Are there any elements of the events that could enhance engagement?

Digital Education (eLearning, Webinars, Online Courses):

  1. Digital Course Analytics:

    • What percentage of enrolled learners complete the digital courses?

    • How much time do participants spend on each module?

    • Are quiz scores indicative of effective learning?

  2. Learner Feedback:

    • How do learners rate the effectiveness and usability of our digital courses?

    • What aspects of online education do they find most valuable?

    • What suggestions or criticisms have been provided through feedback?

  3. Content Utilization:

    • Which parts of our digital education offerings are most popular?

    • Are there underutilized modules that could be improved or promoted?

  4. Technology Engagement:

    • Are learners actively using interactive features and collaboration tools?

    • Are there technical challenges that learners encounter?

  5. Learning Pathways:

    • How many learners follow a structured learning pathway?

    • Are there opportunities to guide learners more effectively through educational content?

  6. Assessment of Skill Gain:

    • Do participants demonstrate improved skills or knowledge after completing courses?

    • How do these improvements align with their initial learning objectives?

Analyzing data for education programs, whether in-person or digital, provides insights into the effectiveness of your offerings, learner engagement, and areas where improvements can be made to better serve your members and learners.
